What's Coming Up This September

As we head into autumn, there's plenty happening at Trent Park House of Secrets - from a new discount scheme to some special events. Here's what to look out for.

We are joining the National Art Pass Scheme

From 1 September we will be joining the Art Fund scheme, where members get a 50% discount on entry. To join the National Art Pass scheme, or find out more, visit the National Art Pass website here.  Museums Association and ICOM members also get free admission.

Open House Festival

We are delighted to be taking part in this year's Open House Festival, a London-wide festival that opens up and celebrates the city's architecture, special sites and neighbourhoods across London.

Our three special tours with Director Giuseppe Albano in September have already sold out - thank you for such an incredible response!  You can find out more about other places to visit in Open House Festival here. Open House Festival here

A special tour of Sir Philip Sassoon's world

Sassoon-specialist David Page will be leading a 30-minute guided tour at 3pm on Wednesday 2 September, exploring Sir Philip Sassoon's remarkable life and his transformation of Trent Park. No special ticket needed, just a regular entry ticket timed for 3pm.

A Tour of Trent Park House from Sassoon to WWII

There will be a tour of Trent Park House on Wednesday 9 September at 3pm. The tour will cover both the history of the House when it was Sir Philip Sassoon’s country retreat in the 1920s and ‘30s, as well as its role in the Second World War, when secret listeners gathered intelligence from senior German officers who had been captured in the War and were held as prisoners-of-war in the House.

The tour will be led by Stephen Dalziel, one of our Volunteers. Stephen has a deep interest in history, and has had a long career as a broadcaster and public speaker.
