Yesterday, as we opened the doors of Trent Park House to the public for the first time, we were thrilled to welcome hundreds of you through the doors!
Wow! What a treat! I visited today. An outstanding achievement to get this Museum looking so good. The attention to detail is enormous... Thank you to all involved in this project. It is so worth it to preserve this amazing piece of double history.
Throughout the day, actors staged pop-up performances of House of Secrets: A Performance for Two Voices, written by Pele Cox and performed by Pele Cox and Robert Portal - bringing the house's extraordinary history to life in the very rooms where it happened.
Outside, visitors explored period vehicles including wartime jeeps and a 1931 Model T Ford, courtesy of Whitewebbs Museum of Transport.
And in our gorgeous shop in the historic Green Room, visitors were greeted with a brand-new range — guidebooks, tote bags, mugs and gifts for all the family. The range will be available soon at trentparkhouse.org.uk
We were also delighted to host the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Emma Supple, for a tour of the House, as well as former NATO advisor and Defence Attaché, Colonel (Retd) Seb Pollington. We were especially moved to welcome the daughters and grandson of one of our Secret Listeners, who met with our oral history team to share their family's story.
