🎓 Archive Research Lead, Sharing Stories Project

Our Archive Research Lead will train, facilitate and support Volunteer Historians to collect archival research on Trent Park’s wartime history, uncovering recently unclassified information.

This role is crucial to help us train local Volunteer Historians in the identification and capture of previously uncovered new information from the archives at The National Archives in Kew and the Imperial War Museum about Trent Park House and its use in WW2.

Archive Research Lead: Fixed fee of £3,900 (freelance @ £300/day x 13 days to include providing training and attending workshop drop-ins over approx. 13 months.

🎓 Oral History Project Lead, Volunteer Historians project

Trent Park House of Secrets is seeking to appoint a freelance Oral History Project Lead who will train and support our Volunteer Historians in collecting oral histories, ideally both in audio and video format, from Middlesex College alumni and local residents with family memories of the House.

Oral History Lead: £14,000 (£350/day x 40 days) plus additional £1,400 to run the training sessions, over approx. 10 months April 2026 to January/February 2027.

Short-listed candidates will be interviewed remotely, by MS Teams or Zoom. The provisional date for interviews is the 20th March 2026.
